Accessibility statement
Draft. Not yet reviewed by a lawyer.
Version 1.0 · Last updated: 2026-10-15 · Covers the website lumaylo.com and the app lumaylo.com/app.
Our commitment
Lumaylo is operated by NatureTech Hydroponics Ltd. We want every child to be able to learn and play in Lumaylo, and every parent to manage it, including children and parents with disabilities. We work to make the website and the app conform to Israeli Standard IS 5568 at level AA (based on WCAG 2.0), under the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adaptations) Regulations, 5773-2013. On the marketing website we also aim for WCAG 2.2 level AA.
What we have done
- Right-to-left and marked language: the Hebrew interface runs in the right direction, and the language is marked for screen readers.
- Screen-reader labels: buttons and controls have accessible names, and updating messages are announced.
- Reduced motion: when the device is set to "reduce motion", animations are reduced.
- No time pressure: no countdown clocks. Timed games are optional and have an untimed version.
- Read-aloud: many instructions and lessons are read aloud, or shown as captions.
- The marketing website works without JavaScript, with local fonts and a proper heading structure.
What is not yet accessible (known to us)
- The character maker, studio drawing and the piano are built on a graphic canvas. Screen readers do not get a full description, and keyboard-only use is partial.
- Voice chat needs speech. The alternative: written chat.
- Piano games with the microphone need hearing and playing. There is no full alternative yet.
- Colour contrast: some illustrated screens have not been checked yet.
- Demo videos on the website: they have no speech; some have captions and a text description, some only a text description.
- No full accessibility audit by a certified accessibility expert has been done yet. We will update the date and result here.
